By exercising, you can control your blood glucose levels, lose weight, lower blood pressure, and lower cholesterol levels. Exercising can also decrease your risk of nerve problems and heart disease by regulating blood flow in your body. This is good for Type One Diabetics because their Cardiovascular and Nervous Systems are at a higher risk for developing issues than a non-diabetic.
The exercises can consist of moderate intensity workouts like walking, jogging, dancing, swimming, playing tennis, hiking, and many more; plus, you only have to workout for at least thirty minutes a day (of course you can always go above and beyond if you want to!)
So if you have been struggling with your Type One Diabetes diagnosis, just know that by exercising a little bit a day, you can make your life easier and live a better and healthy life. Have fun exercising!
